• University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a federal government-owned university in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
• It was established by a decree of the federal military government in August, 1975.
• The institution has one of the largest land areas, covering approximately 15,000 hectares of land.
• According to JAMB, UNILORIN is the most ought after school at the 2021 UTME, and also 2023. Making it the 10th consecutive time.
• The university began in 1975 as a university college affiliated to the University of Ibadan.
• Dr. T. N. Tamuno who was a professor and Head of the History Department at the University of Ibadan was appointed the first principal of the college in September 1975. By December 1975, Tamuno was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan. As a result, Professor O. O. Akinkugbe was appointed as the new Principal for the University of Ilorin (then, a University College) in 1975. Akinkugbe was the former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ibadan.
•  In October 1977, the institution attained full autonomous status with the appointment of Professor O.O Akinkugbe as the first Vice-Chancellor of the university.
• The first set of 200 students were admitted on 23 October 1976.
• The University College started with three academic faculties: Arts, Science and Education.
•  the Law Department was accorded a full-fledged Faculty status in 1993.
• Currently, the university has fifteen faculties and dozens of (over 60) Academic Departments. 
•  Is-haq Oloyede was the first alumnus to be appointed as vice-chancellor.
• The current Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Wahab Egbewole.
• Her motto is “Learning and Character”.

Candidates Eligible to Buy UNILORIN Post UTME Screening Form

To qualify for the screening, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

• Eligibility Criteria: Only candidates who chose UNILORIN as their first choice in the 2024/2025 UTME and scored 180 and above are eligible for the screening exercise.
• Admission Aggregate: Admission will be based on an aggregate of UTME/DE score (50%); Post-UTME screening score (30%); and five (5) relevant O’ Level grades (20%).

3. Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of NGN 2,000.00 is applicable.
4. Application Portal: Visit UNILORIN’s Official Portal or click on Post-UTME Registration on the main website.
5. Details Entry and Verification: Enter your JAMB Registration Number, surname, and other required details for verification.
6. Payment Method: Proceed to the Remita platform for payment, which can be completed via card, transfer, USSD, bank, or QR code.
7. Confirmation and Validation: After payment, confirm and validate your payment using your JAMB registration number.
8. Account Activation: Activate your account with the activation code sent to your email.
9. Form Completion: Log in with your credentials, fill in the application form accurately, and submit.
