• OGUN STATE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IGBESA was established in 2005 with proactive effect from 29th June, 2006. Gateway Polytechnic Enabling Law No: H. B. 29/OG/ 2005, was passed by the Ogun State House of Assembly. The law empowers the Institute to confer National Diploma and Higher National Diplomas, Certificates and other academic distinctions on individuals who have pursued a course of study approved by the Institute under supervision of our regulatory body (National Board for Technical Education).
• It gladdens our heart to inform you that, the Institute is located in Igbesa at Km2, Oba Adesola Market Road, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government of Ogun State, the Local Government with the largest number of industries in Nigeria, where most of the big manufacturing companies in Nigeria are located.
• The College officially kicked-off in September 2019 as a Polytechnic with the appointment of the pioneer Rector, Professor Johnson Kayode Adesodun and the pioneer Registrar, Mr Joseph Akin Olugbenga Olorunsola.
• The Institute is also an accredited center for CISCO as an Information Communication Technology (ICT) where professional courses and certificates in Essentials, CCNA 1,2,3,4 and CCNP are undertaken
• Date of Establishment just like the mustard seed, the dream of Ogun State Institute Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH), formerly Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Igbesa (GPI); was planted through the former Governor, His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel in the heart of Ogun-West Senatorial District which had no evidence of Government presence in terms of State-owned tertiary institution with the official commissioning of the Institute’s plaque on Thursday, 29th June, 2006.

Candidates applying for OGITECH MUST meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Cut-off Mark: NOT LESS THAN 120 IN THE 2024 UTME. However, candidates applying for BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, MASS COMMUNICATION, and SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY must NOT have less than 140 in the 2024 UTME.
• Basic Educational Requirements: In addition, the minimum entry requirements into the National Diploma programmes is Senior School Certificate Examination [WAEC/GCE/NECO&NABTEB (NTC)] with at least five (5) Credits obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects.
