- Lagos State University of Education (Lasued), formerly known as Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), was the first specialized college of primary education in Nigeria.
- It also offers degree programs in affiliation with Ekiti State University and the University of Ibadan.
- Established in December 1994 by the Lagos State Government, it aimed to provide pre-service and in-service training for primary education teachers.
- The college was initially named Lagos State College of Primary Education (LACOPED) and later renamed MOCPED in April 2007.
- Located in Noforija near Epe, it anticipated the need for training manpower for the Universal Basic Education System.
- Academic programs commenced in May 1995 with 82 pioneering students in pre-NCE programs and expanded to include NCE programs later that year.
- The college offers National Certificate in Education (NCE) programs and is affiliated with the University of Ibadan’s Degree program in Education.

Candidates Eligible to Buy LASUED Post UTME Screening Form
- Candidates who selected Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) in the 2024/2025 UTME and Direct Entry are eligible.
- Changing to LASUED must be done through JAMB before applying on the University portal.
- Eligible candidates for online screening must have obtained a minimum score of 170 and possess the required relevant O’ level credits.
- Direct Entry candidates, especially NCE holders, are eligible if LASUED was their first choice in the 2023/2024 Direct Entry exercise.
- Applicants must be 16 years old or above before resumption date and the process is open to those with visual impairments who meet the criteria.
- Requirements include five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings, a UTME score of 170 or above, and an indication of LASUED as the First Choice
