ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SCREENING:
- ONLY candidates that scored a minimum of 160 in their UTME and made FUTIA their First (1) choice is eligible to apply.
- Candidates who did not choose FUTIA as University of first choice but scored a minimum of 160 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB CAPS and change their First (1) choice to FUTIA

REGISTRATION:
The supplementary online registration for the Screening Exercise is ongoing and will close on Friday, 29th November, 2024.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
- Visit http://portal.futia.edu.ng and click on “Click here to apply”
- Click Undergraduate link at the top menu bar
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click on “Continue”
- Complete the basic information page (Please note: Enter only valid phone number and email address) and click next.
- On the payment review page, click on “Make Payment” and this will take you to the payment page where you can provide your card detail.
- Enter ATM card (MasterCard, Visa or Verve) number and other details as appropriate and submit
- Enter “OTP code” sent to your phone and click continue to complete your payment.
- After a successful payment, click on “Main login” on the portal, enter your Jamb registration number and Surname as password
- Click on “Login” button and complete your registration.
- Ensure you print completed registration form and payment receipt.
NOTE:
- There would be a grace period of four (4) weeks within which all approved admissions must be accepted by candidates.
- Candidates with awaiting results may apply but must ensure that their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are uploaded appropriately at the JAMB Portal (CAPS) in a COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT) CENTRE approved by JAMB.

- The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in June 2021.
- This university was one of two new Universities of Technology established and located in Akwa Ibom State in the South-South and in Jigawa in the North-West geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
- Prior to the establishment of these two universities, the government had established four universities of Technology in Yola (North East), Akure (South West), Owerri (South East) and Minna (North Central). The six universities of Technology are satellite institutions of a proposed apex National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Abuja, the nation’s capital. By establishing FUTIA and other new universities, Nigeria seeks to increase access to university education, achieve balance and equity in the location of facilities and increase knowledge in science and technology.
- The Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi is one of 11 specialized science universities made up of 6 universities of Technology, 3 universities of Agriculture in Makurdi, Abeokuta and Umudike and 2 universities of Health Sciences at Azare (Bauchi State) and Ila-Orangun (Osun State).

Candidates Eligible to Buy FUTIA Post UTME Screening Form
To qualify for the screening, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
- Have passed a minimum of 5 relevant subjects at credit level in the Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings, including English and Mathematics.
- Have scored a minimum of 160 and above in the 2024/2025 JAMB Examination.

Step by step application:
- Visit FUTIA’s Official Website.
- Log in using your UTME Number and UTME Score.
- Update your contact details for generating Remita Payment.
- A Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) will automatically be generated for you.
- Choose from the Remita Payment options, either clicking “Pay Now” to open the payment dialogue or “Generate Payment Schedule” to download and print a payment schedule.
- After successful payment, update your UTME details.
- Generate, download, and print the acknowledgement slip to complete registration details.
