- The establishment of The Federal Polytechnic Bali was approved by the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday, 14th March, 2007
- Motto: Aagriculture, Technology and Entrepreneuship
- Both the Taraba State Government and the Bali Local Government Authority contributed facilities and structures for the Polytechnic’s setup, including a 500-hectare land along Bali-Jalingo Road for the Permanent Site
- The first Governing Council was constituted and inaugurated on 10th February, 2009, with Alh. Abubakar Bobboi Jauro serving as Chairman.
- Approval was granted to offer National Diploma Programmes in Accountancy and Statistics on 9th October 2010.
- The current staff strength of the Polytechnic stands at 351, comprising 110 academic staff and 241 non-academic staff.
- Despite limited capital allocations, the Polytechnic has made significant physical and infrastructural developments, including the construction of 13 blocks of classrooms and offices, a Library complex, Lecture theater, Auditorium, Students Centre, and a hostel accommodating 328 students.
- A functional Clinic caters to the health needs of both staff and students, with provisions for ante-natal and delivery services, registered with the National Insurance Scheme as a Primary Health Care Provider.
- Sporting facilities, including Badminton Courts, Tennis Court, Basketball and Volleyball Courts, and a Football Pitch, promote physical activity among the Polytechnic community.
- An ICT Centre with a capacity for 150 students and a Lecture Theatre for 500 students, along with additional provisions for 280 students, contribute to enhancing ICT education and access within the Polytechnic.
