• Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo has roots tracing back to St. Andrew’s College, Oyo, established by the Church Missionary Society (C.M.S.) in 1896.
• It was the oldest Teachers’ Training College in Nigeria.
• Calls for upgrading to an NCE awarding institution started in 1976.
• Oyo State Government agreed to upgrade it to a campus of the Oyo State College of Education, Ilesa in October 1980.
• Supervision transferred to Oyo State College of Education, Ila Orangun in March 1983.
• Gained full autonomy as a College of Education on 1st October 1985.
• It underwent several name changes: St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo; Oyo State College of Education, Oyo; Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo; now Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.
• Relocated to the present site in 2003, experiencing significant growth.
• Funded by the Oyo State Government and Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).

Candidates Eligible to Buy EAUED Post UTME Screening Form

FOR UTME 4-YEAR PROGRAMME

1. WAEC/NECO Senior School Certificate (SSC), General Certificate of Education rdinary Level (GCE O’Level), or their equivalents with credits in five (5) subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.
2. National Technical Certificate/National Business Certificate (NTC/NBC) is acceptable for Vocational courses only.

• NB:
  • A credit in O’Level English language is required for all courses
  • Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, will only admit candidates with credit passes in at least five relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sitting in SSCE/NECO.

• SPECIAL COURSES REQUIREMENTS
  • A credit in O’Level Mathematics is required for all Sciences, Vocational, and Technical and Social Science-based courses.
  • Credit in Literature in English is required for English Language.
  • A credit in at least one science subject is required for Mathematics.
  • Candidates wishing to study Educational Management should have obtained credit in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics at the Ordinary Level.
  • Credits in any two (2) of Geography, Economics, Government, Commerce, Christian Religious Knowledge, Islamic Religious Knowledge, History, and Yoruba are acceptable for Social Studies.
  • Candidates wishing to study Counselling Psychology with teaching subject options in science and social sciences must have credit in Mathematics.

Candidates who have opted for EAUED as their university of choice and have obtained a minimum score between 150 and 160 in the most recent UTME are qualified for the screening.

To secure admission for the session, Candidates must carefully follow the application procedures:

• Change of University Choice:
  • Applicants are required to change their previous choice of University to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo on JAMB portal.
• Eligibility
  • Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, will only admit candidates with credit passes in at least five relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sitting in SSCE/NECO. 
  • Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with O’Level requirements and the UTME subject combination for their programme of choice.  Check the University website for information
