- Established in 2021, it’s one of three new universities approved by Delta State and the National Universities Commission (NUC).
- The university offers undergraduate courses across six faculties: Agriculture, Science, Management, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Arts, and Computing.
- Prof Ben Emukufia Akpoyomare Oghojafor serves as the current Vice Chancellor.
- Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa announced the conversion of Delta State University, Anwai Campus, Asaba, into a full university in January 2021.

Candidates Eligible to Buy DOU Post UTME Screening Form
- UTME
- Candidates must possess five (5) Passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE O’level at not more than two sittings.
- Direct Entry
- Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of LOWER CREDIT from a recognised Institution and must have purchased a Direct Entry JAMB Form.
- IJMB/JUPEB: Candidates must pass at least two (2) subjects with a minimum of four (4) points obtained from both subjects.
- NCE: Candidates must possess a MERIT grade from a reputable Institution.
